Keep Dreaming was the anthem and name for the National Care Leavers Week in October 2010, was used to raise money for a care leavers charity and was performed live by Kay-Jay at the prestigious CYPNow Awards, ITV's The London Studios and many other venues.

Kay-Jay has the honour of being placed on the list for most influential care leavers and being shortlisted for a Spirit of London Award 2011.

    • Kay Jay kindly performed his latest track 'Going for Gold' at Southampton City Council's Looked After Children's award ceremony. His act was the higlight of the evening and went down really well with the young people who attended. His story inspired the kids and helped show that a positive attitude can help you to achieve your goals in life, no matter what. Kay Jay also presented the Outstanding Achievement award and took the time to have his picture taken with the winners and many of those who were nominated. Kay Jay topped the evening off for the winners by getting them backstage passes to the Spirit of London Awards at the O2, featuring Labrinth, Diversity, Maverick Sabre, McFly and other big name acts!

    • Kay Jay has worked with The Who Cares? Trust to design and deliver bespoke workshops for social work students and professionals. He is very professional, reliable and a talented facilitator. Kay-Jay is able to use his own experiences and that of others to put together workshops that encourage learning, challenge and manage to keep people laughing, even when the subject matter is difficult. Kay Jay is able to speak from his own experience, whilst making wider comments about how the care system could improve. He is passionate about improving the care system for children and young people and this brings energy and dynamism to his work.

Most recently Kay Jay helped design and deliver a workshop for 80 London South Bank University students on their BA Social Work course. Kay Jay came to a session with young people, listened carefully and sensitively to their experiences and views, and then wrote a piece of forum theatre to be used in the workshop. He then prepped his co-facilitators, acted in it and facilitated involvement from the workshop participants. The forum theatre piece encouraged and enabled all 80 students to be active in the workshop and explore emotions and skills regarding partnership working with young people and professionals. It provoked great discussion and debate and challenged thinking. The course unit leader told us that the workshop got excellent feedback from students and was referred to as the most positive things about the unit by a number of them. We look forward to working with Kay Jay again in the near future.

    • You came across very well on Ch4 news, inspirational speaker. I appreciated your statement on a delicate balance of truths, needing more support for families in difficult situations to the sometimes necessity of the care system. The system could benefit from more societal support, your presentation appeared to challenge the stigma of the care system, well done.
